The Nurturing Program for Parents & Their Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers @ Catholic Charities/Family Connections

The Nurturing Program for Parents and their Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers: This sixteen-session, group-based program has demonstrated effectiveness in helping families learn and maintain over time new, nurturing parenting practices.

We will begin meeting on Thursday mornings, August 22 through December 19 from 10:00 am -12:00 pm at Catholic Charities/Family Connections.

This program includes lessons for the children that complement what parents are learning, so parents and children will come together at the end of each meeting to support growth as a family.

The program/child care is available at no cost to families.

Mothering Together | Mindful Springs Counseling @ Beginnings Birth Center

Are you looking for an opportunity to join other mothers and share in the challenges along with  the joys of navigating motherhood? This free group will feature a supportive topic each week that will focus on the adjustments of being pregnant or after becoming a parent. The focus will be to offer community support around the pleasures and difficulties in this season of life as facilitated by one of our therapists who is trained in maternal mental health. Babies and children are welcome.

Mindful Springs’ Perinatal Wellness Center will be expanding its offerings in the fall of 2019:
  • Fee for service psycho-educational pregnancy group
  • Monthly dads/family event to correspond with the free moms group
  • Fee for service psycho-therapy post-partum group.
  • Fee for service psychotherapy group for women healing from pregnancy loss and infertility
  • Monthly fee for service and free workshops, yoga classes, and other stress management classes/ resources

Positive Solutions for Families | Free Class @ New
Sep 23 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
We are pleased to announce that registration has begun for Positive Solutions for Families Parent Training. This class will be held on Mondays from September 16 – November 4th. This class is offered for FREE and is most useful for parents who have children from birth-8 years old. It empowers families to promote children’s social and emotional skills, understand problem behavior, and practice the use of positive approaches to help children learn appropriate behavior.  Parents will be given key strategies to use with all children. Training materials, child care, and dinner will be provided – FREE!  In addition we will explore the neuroscience related to our own development for a better understanding of how we engage with our children in two bonus sessions.

The Nurturing Program for Prenatal Families:  This nine-session, group-based program supports expectant families in establishing nurturing parenting practices for a healthy beginning, helping them to recognize their parenting strengths and areas to build their skills.

We will begin meeting on Tuesday afternoons, September 3 through October 29 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Catholic Charities/Family Connections.

The program/child care is available at no cost to families.

Becoming a Love & Logic Parent | Free Class @ Helen Hunt Campus | Family Connections

Catholic Charities of Central Colorado is offering a 5-week Parent Training Program designed by the Love and Logic Institute, Inc. This course is designed to give you practical parenting skills and free child care is also available.
